It is night and the crickets
are rattling their songs.
The fog announces its coming

from far away with a warm breath.
As the stork waits on his tower
high above the clouds.

He looks down into the black lake
with the lights of the city
And waits for the appearance of its easy prey.

Suddenly everything falls silent
and there are flames in the sky
In brightest colors
the wings of the firefrogs.

They jump up to the stars and burst brightly
thundering into the night.

In the colorful hustle and bustle they enmesh each other
and dance themselves fearlessly up and down.

The stork sits motionless in its nest
and guards its brood.
As the fireworks are reflected in its eyes.

And as if driven by heartbeats,
the light gradually goes out in the dark
Pulsating slower and slower.

And then the stork ascends to his hunt.
