My father and I sat at table in the finest house in town,
which was located a little bit very far away at a carp pond.
We drank to the welfare of our women,
who were shopping for the upcoming festival.
So we waited quite long,
because it was just shift change
and the host was too busy except for drinks
to ask for something else.
When the door to the kitchen opened like in slow motion
and a wonderfully costumed waitress threw her hair to the side
and stabbed my father with her eyes.
"What do you gentlemen want?
May I recommend something or would you like to see the menu?"
My father became more cheerful as I blushed slightly.
He looked at the waitress slightly silvery with one eye on the neckline
And then asked with a little pause,
what there would be to recommend.
I can't remember much more than her hand running through my hair,
while my father's stomach growled loudly.
Then she disappeared and brought the food so quickly:
fried eggs with fried potatoes.
On my plate a fly was already floating motionless
in the already firm yolk of the egg.
When my father asked her about it,
the waitress blushed laughing
and took my plate back into the kitchen.
When she returned, my father had already plastered half the plate.
There was a hole in my egg, now.
My father later said that he liked everything very much.
